£ 52

per hourCounselling in schools can make an important contribution to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of young people.

School counselling provides students with a confidential, safe space to discuss worries and emotional challenges with a trained professional, helping them develop coping strategies for issues like bullying, family problems, ultimately improving their mental wellbeing and ability to learn. It uses various approaches, including one-to-one talk therapy, play, or art, often working with families and school staff for a joined-up support system.
