We have some exciting news to share… New Start is now officially a Community Interest Company (CIC)! 🎉
But what does that actually mean?
For us, becoming a CIC is an important step in the growth of New Start and reflects what we have always been about – creating positive change in our communities and making high-quality emotional wellbeing support accessible to the people who need it.
What does becoming a CIC mean?
A Community Interest Company is a type of company designed to benefit the community rather than being driven solely by private profit.
For New Start, this gives us even greater opportunities to reinvest in our services, develop new projects and apply for funding and grants that can help us reach more people.
It allows us to build on the work we are already doing across Lancashire and the wider North West, while continuing to provide the professional counselling and emotional wellbeing support that New Start is known for.
What does this mean for you?
More opportunities. More support. More choice.
Becoming a CIC means we can explore and develop a greater variety of services and projects, including opportunities to provide support to:
- Children and young people
- Adults and families
- Parents and carers
- Schools and education settings
- Communities
- Professionals and organisations
It also means we can pursue more funding opportunities and partnerships, helping us to develop new projects that may otherwise not be possible.
Our aim is simple: to reach more people, provide more support and make a bigger difference.
Watch this space!
New Start is growing, new opportunities are on the horizon and we’re excited about what the future holds.
Keep following us for updates, new projects, partnerships and exciting announcements coming soon.
